Barong & Kris Dance

The Barong & Kris Dance is a traditional Balinese ritual dance. It is a captivating performance that tells the story of good versus evil, with the good represented by the Barong, a mythical lion-like creature. It is said to bring peace and harmony to the village, often performed by two actors – one dressed as the Barong and the other as Rangda, a witch-like figure. The actors perform a battle between the two characters, with the Barong ultimately emerging victorious. Barong performances are a popular tourist attraction in Bali, with many shows taking place around the island. As part of the performance, the Barong will often be sprinkled with holy water to ward off any evil spirits.

Tirta Empul Temple

Tirta Empul is a Balinese Hindu temple located in Manukaya village, Tampak Siring sub-district, Gianyar regency, Bali. The unique architecture and the presence of springs inside the temple make Tirta Empul temple attract many tourists. Built in the 10th-century, Tirta Empul temple is a Hindu Balinese water temple, and is considered sacred by the community. Worshippers take part in ancient cleansing rituals here and visitors are welcomed to join.

Kintamani

Kintamani is one of famous tourist object in Bali, perched in center part of paradise island on Bangli Regency. Kintamani is located in the north of Bali and in the locale of the volcano Mount Batur and its beautiful expanse of fresh water lake . The spectacular mountainous region around Kintamani – with its deep crater lake and bubbling hot springs make this region a must on any Bali itinerary. Lake Batur is the largest lake in Bali and the region offers some of the most spectacular views to be found anywhere on the island. Lake Batur also provides water for an underground network of streams and springs across the southern slopes of the mountain. This district is the earliest known Kingdom in Bali, dating from the 10th Century. The evening can get cool up here but it’s well worth the stay overnight to climb the volcano and watch the sun rises.

The Sacred Monkey Forest is a popular tourist attraction in Ubud and is often visited by over 10,000 tourists a month. The Monkey Forest Ubud has 3 temples, namely Dalem Agung Padangtegal Temple, Holy Spring Temple, and Prajapati Temple. The forest is owned by the Padangtegal community and is managed by Mandala Suci Wenara Wana Management. The purpose of the management is to keep sacred the place and promote the Monkey Forest Ubud as an international tourist destination.
